Reflection: we’re trying new things, coming back into things we once enjoyed. This is what figuring life out is all about.
Reflecting some more: shedding tears for who we once were, flipping through pictures to catch a glimpse of how it was before it turned upside down. We don’t need this anymore, but we’re still not getting rid of it.
Deep breath: accepting that what’s past is past, the world is still spinning, and we keep spinning with it. It feels less and less like we’ve been left behind every day.
Pause: Where do we go from here? The only way out is through, and we have scratched and crawled our way through and still don’t feel out yet.
Another breath: we’re settled now. We’ve got the consistency we wanted, things feel less off balance. We’ve controlled what we can.
Prayer: help us break down this wall we’re building, we don’t want to be angry anymore, we want to feel the contentment we’re meant to be feeling. We want to know what is next for us. We want to see the blessing behind all of this. We want the peace that passes understanding, and we want the light in.
Time to decide: who do we want to be and what do we need to accomplish that?
Repeat.
